nope, I have taught myself everything but I know safety because I have learned it from marines I go shooting with and the skeet range.
Sounds like you have a base of the knowledge. You will learn lots in the hunter safety course. I was pissed at first that i had to take it, but in the end i appreciated it
While at buddies check in for deer a few guys pull up in a truck. They had deer to be checked in and as we watched them park we saw a large hole in the rear panel of the truck which looked rather funny.I asked the older guy what that heck was the hole in his truck from and he just said FU and walked into the shop.His buddy said "oh he is pissed and dont worry about him being rude cuz its his fault,He shot a slug right through his truck"!They explained that he shot a deer and when they were done hunting and loaded the 2 deer in the truck he went to "unload" his gun and pulled the trigger,BOOM and there was the hole.
Point is safety is the key!
