i was out driving around on lochloosa wma this pm and the deer were moving .that little rain did the trick. I saw 2 does, a single deer, then another single deer sex unknown then a little later 3 deer, 2 of which were does crossed the road all in a little over one hour. so it got me to thinking maybe it's time to do a little scouting and hang a little tape myself. I wondered if anyone who plans on hunting bow/muzzleloading here would be interested in meeting up at the shed on burnt island,( the island gate is unlocked )and helping me look for good spots to hunt and look out for snakes? how about sat. june 8 th? the word little was used in this note 5 times got to be a record. Oh yes one of the does was a little one. jesse
It's good to know the gate is open, Jay and I have the June ,Jennings hog hunt that weekend or I'd drop by. I need to see how much they have cleared with the logging, and check out a few old spots. I had a heck of a buck stare me down during muzzle loader and couldn't seal the deal. Hope he's still around.

went out there last weekend. didn't see any deer. lots of rabbits and the biggest bobcat Ive ever seen. They have been out there making new roads and shutting down others and the gate is locked at the back now.
