Look folks, there's no way to schedule this so it accommodates every single person. I'm sorry, but them's the facts. If we wait until the perfect time, it will never happen. We saw that a while back when we tried to set a date/time to meet up at Ft DeSoto a couple of years ago. So I'm going to schedule this for the end of March or beginning of April, like we did last year. We had a good turn out and the folks that could make it had a good time, the weather was great for hanging by the fire and hunting hogs.
I think there's enough interest from people who won't be hunting turkeys, taking their wife out for her birthday, getting a root canal, washing their hair, serving on a jury, "walking for the cure", or anything else. Those of you who have other stuff planned and can't make something that doesn't even have a date set yet, well, I hope you have a wonderful time doing what you do when you do it. Maybe someone will organize another get-together at a time when you can make it. I might even be interested in setting up another one in late June or July when my son is home for a visit before he goes to Korea for a year. But I'm taking them one at a time, and this one is gonna happen as planned, late March/early April.
My son and I will be there. Please put up a date and I will put it on the "wardens" calendar!!!! :rockon
Guys sorry for the delay this got by me, I was watching the piggy chase forum from my phone and you have to be logged in to see this one. Any way How does the weekend of the March 30,31 and April 1st sound. That looks good for me and it will give every one some turkey time. The next weekend would be Easter. Turkeys go out April 22nd so that will give every one time to get back in the turkey woods. Campers are welcome Let me know what you got. I seen mention of a 25 footer ya I can get ya in there. Tents are fine also. An all weekend event would probably be best depending on how large a group we have. This is a fun time with forum members and for those that want or need it I will go over all aspects of the cleaning process as we do them. Also there are other hunters from the forum I am sure to be there so that you can pick there brains as well. We all had a great time last year and I am looking forward to doing it again this year.

We have a big smoker grill and a smaller grill on site. I figured we would all get together and smoke a hog. Baked beans and all of that, Then figure out the rest as we go. ????
And all of your hunting gear you want and what ever else you can think of. LOL
