Tired of plastic barrels.

Whats up with tree rats eating holes in plastic barels this year. I switched over to metal in Feb. Dam rats ate thru and died inside.
That feeder was there for three years and all of the sudden they are eating up the plastic.

I had mine up for almost a year and a half no holes in it. The past 3 months I went through 2. Now it's metal.

I greased up the conduit legs to my tripod feeder with vaseline. Eliminated the problem on that one. They can no longer climb the legs
Of course, walking in the store buying a jar of vaseline and a pack of cigars probably looked a little weird

Crock there is someone advertizing for metal barrels for $20 on craigs list, I have gotten plastic rain barrels from this guy he has both
