not if you have to put in a T-screw, to my understanding. the ratchet types without the T-screw can't handle the wt I need ( as far as I know ). the reason I liked them you could set them up and remove the bottom few ladder sections so noone else could use or steal them. ( unless they brought their own ladder or cut the tree down)

Those screw in tree steps are dangerous. If you fall while climbing those things will gut you like a dull knife

wasn't talking about the steps, the T-screw is a large t shaped handle that screws into the tree and holds the stand in combination with a wratchet strap. I agree those steps are dangerous and don't do the tree any good either
