Well i would like to do a review on summit tree stands.

Well last friday i did a job and it was so freakin hard to install and i charged the lady such a small amount of money, by the time i got that check i was like "you kow what ima buy me something with this". SO to make a long story short i picked up a Summit Titan Climbing Tree Stand.

So i actually shopped around for them for about 2 years. found the price that they are and bought one.

Heres what i came up with:

-The stand is very light. Easy to lift
-The back of the stand hangs down a little far when packing it in. If you take a high step over a rock or something your other leg will smash up against the back of the stand. Other wise its easy walking.
-Climbing is very quiet.
-Stand is just as comfortable as sitting at home. I sat in it for 5 hours each sitting and could of went for 5 more.
-The metal rubber covered wires that go around the tree have a cheap rubber coating on them. I wore through it the first day using it.
-The paint.. Well i dont know about all their stands but the one i got was bad. The first time i ever climbed up the tree when i got to the top and the sun came up i notied paint peeling on the platform. I was able to see straight through to the aluminum. And after the second day it was peeling in other places. It was so bad that i would just peel it off with my finger nail probably the whole stand if i wanted to.. But this leads to the next review.

Summit Customer Service. SECOND TO NONE. they are great. I Called them and told the about the paint peeling on my stand snd before i could ask if they would help me they said one will be shippd in 2 days ot my door.. A totally new box with new entire stand.!!.. they just said "put your old stand on the box and return it to ups shipping will all be paid!.. Good stuff.

The one thing that was weird was.. They never asked for proof that i bought a stand they just took my address and send it out.. Meaning: Anyone could just call and say "yea my stand is peeling paint and i want a replacement" and they will ship you one LOL.. Even if you never bought one. Thats something they need to fix cause anyone could techincly get a stand shipped to their house and just keep it and not return nothing. But i think they just heard me offer to fax them a reciept and just knew that i was not lying or this must be a major problem with the stands..

Oh well hope this helps you all out if your thinking about buying a summit tree stand.

I have the Viper and this is my 6th season with it. Wouldnt want anything else. I am on my second set of cables. I peeled the shrink wrap off the old set and just need to get a new pack and re do them so I will have 2 sets of cables. I have sat as long as 12 hours in mine and could stay all day. I just get too fidgety.. I climber 42', yes 42 feet up a damn tree Sat eve/Sun morning and feel as safe as if I was sitting on the floor(and I am scared of heights)
