I'm in the market for some new snake/water proof boots. The once i have now are Rockys and they didnt even last a year....zipper busted, soles are coming off and water what ya not water proof. They come with a year warranty so i should be able to get my money back unless the manager doesn't feel like working that day. With all that said for those who do wear snake/water boots which ones do you recommend?

I've owned couple of snake boots in past and I've never had one go more than 2 years before they leaked. Some started leaking within first few uses. Redheads, Rockys, etc. doesn't matter they all eventually leak if you use them enough. BTW my Rocky boot fell apart within a year too. I have a pair of rubber boot type snake boot and they've lasted me 2 years so far and it's still going strong but they are not very comfortable for long walks. Now days I'm usually wearing Krocs while sitting up in the stand.

Lacrosse Mudlite are the ones I use. They're awesome. Just make sure to buy the snakeproof model.

Snake boots and water proof should not be used in the same sentence (unless they are rubber snake boots). I wear Muck brand boots and snake gaiters over them

I have a pair of Muck brand rubber snake/stingray boots. The only problem is that they are HOT! A little on the heavy side too. I can't wait to get them off at the end of the day. Go with the light weight boots and gaiters. You'll be set.
