RIFLE RUST>

Where can a fellow buy him some "flitz"???????
After hunting in the rain this weekend it looks like I used my rifle as a boat paddle
Same situation as you, I got rust spots that won't come off now 😡

flits is a brass polish.. i bought it at a music store like sam ash, or guitar center.. anywhere where they sell brsss instruments..

Ace hardware has it.. But the one i used looks like a toothpaste tube and it silver with blue writing on it and the actual paste is light blue..

This might be the same thing.. not sure tho..

This is what the tube i have looks like.. I just got back from believe it or not hunting in the pouring rain and mine started to rust up again.. so ima flitx it again.. get the rust off looking brand new again and them put some barrel conditioner on it.

Yeah I got in and wanted to kick my own a$$. I hunted in the rain the whole weekend. Instead of wiping the gun down each time I just threw it in the front seat of the truck. Yesterday afternoon we got caught in a bad storm up there. I was even getting soaked sitting in a box stand.
When I went to put the gun away I bout cried. So I cleaned it really well and left a good coating of oil on it. Ill deal with it some more tomorrow. Even the inside of the barrel had surface rust on it from rain running down the barrel

yea i just flitzed my barrell and it lookes ok. i put some conditioner on it and put it in the safe. Im going ot get my whole gun and scope duracoated as soon as money starts coming back in.
