My .270 is supposed to be here tommorow,or I should say my kids .270. It comes with a tasco scope. IS it worth using this scope? I have several others I can put on the rifle if need be.Is tasco better than Bushnell? I'm not gonna buy him a new scopejust want some info if it's complete junk or not. I have an older Bushnell scopechief,I read that was one of their top of the line scopes back in the day.

I know that, I just bought the rifle and the scope came with it for free.I'm tapped out now,I have to let him use the best of what I have.I know tasco is a POS,just didn't know if it was worse than a Bushnell.I'll put one of my bushnells on it for this season coming up,then later I'll get him a nikon or something. Thanks fldxt.

Tasco used to make a really good scope, many years ago. I have one on a 44 mag carbine rifle that has not been re-zeroed in at least 20 years. It is a 40mm and has the biggest field of view you have ever seen(like a big rectangle when you look thru it)

generaly I'd say bushnell is better than tasco, but depends on which model of each you are talking about. just look thru em both and see which one looks clearer and has the widest field of view at the same power setting
