Gunboy will appreciate the link, GO. Thanks. If you've never ridden one of the recumbent trikes, you really shouldn't knock em. They are actually much easier to ride and take less effort. They are also very stable off road, even in sand. You just have to put wider tires on em. Plus, the way most are geared, you can reach some amazing speeds with little effort. I agree, that they are not exactly the off-road beasts that mountain bikes are, but to each his/her own. I gotta get me one of them fat boy seats and some krylon-camo for my bike. The gun/bow rack would also be helpful. Where can you find the racks cheap? I saw some for like $30, but I wasn't sure if they were a "single season" item, or if they would last a while.

I used to mountain bike quite a bit. I can tell you sugar sand is a royal PIA to begin with. Put a rifle on the gun rack, a climber and a back pack, and you can get hurt. Sugar sand you need to get off and walk the bike. The worst thing is riding b4 daylight and hitting a cypress knee or a log you don't see. When I hunt Croom or Citrus, I ride mine all the time. Makes short order of the closed roads and fire trails

The area that I hunted a little last year has a bunch of closed roads and fire breaks. I might have gone in a 1/4 to 1/2 mile on foot. If I would have had a bike I might have made it as far back as cr0ck and John. ( It sucks to be fat, old, and out of shape.)

Printed the add and am going to call them, but it's kinda far from us.... We'll see, thanks GO...
We definately need the gun ATV racks....

As far as the sand goes, most of the roads in the new area that Horsefly put us on are old truck roads, right??? It shouldn't be bad to get us within 200 yards of our newly found "Sweet Spots"... I hope....

Not too much effort at all. Most of the roads are hardpack and grass covered, but there are a few sugar sand spots 50 yds or so long. Nuttin you can't handle. My lard ars can do it, so you should be fine with a bike trailer. Or, if we hunt at the same time, only one of us needs to tote the trailer.
