I'm in the market for a light weight climber. Something under 20 lbs.

I have a Summit aluminum Viper but was hoping for something even lighter.

I can't go the Lone Wolf route because of their price plus they are just too small for my size.

What I'd really like would be an old Warren & Sweat Rifleman where you sit facing the tree. As I recall they had decent seat with a back rest and a small foot platform which kept the weight well under 20 lbs.

All suggestions appreciated.

Thanks.

What you suffice in weight, you may also lose comfort. I highly suggest a different packing strap system for your summit. Heckuva lot cheaper than a new stand. You will be amazed how dispersing the weight with molle straps and a kidney belt makes a difference. The factory straps on a summit climber should be illegal they are so uncomfortable

IL2H- You're right about those summit straps making a fairly light stand feel heavier & was wondering what brand straps you've found to be best for the summit climbers? I saw the "game plan" but they seemed a little bulky... Thanks in advance. Jay

I have the Game Plan Treestand Transport System. So does my cousin and dad. Makes that 21 lb. Viper feel like about 5 lbs.
