Most are made to fit a 2" receiver hitch chief. I have one I bought about 15 years ago, it's a steel tube that fits into the receiver hitch and a 2' steel shaft that hindges and runs into an Aluminum shaft (one inside the other) and the platform itself is Heloarced Aluminum to an Aluminum mesh rectangular box 3'x5' with 1" Aluminum stock framing and a 4" tall side rail that sticks up all the way around to tie to. It folds up when not in use. I had on of the straight out the back $79.00 jobs until I backed it into an Oak tree turning around in the woods. The nice thing about the Alluminum is that it cleans easy, doesn't hold smell, and is very light. I looked all over on line to find it and can't. Thought I had bought it at Cabela's years ago... I will have to show it to you.. T-Bone has seen it hanging in my garage and everytime I go hunt... Think I paid $175-$200 for it like 15 years ago...
