Just cause it looked better and had higher sides to it. Keep in mind it comes with about 40 or 50 screws to put the sides together. Just another excuse to hang in the garage with a couple cold ones.
8 nuts/bolts, real easy. enlarged the hole that the pin/clip goes in so I can run a gun cable lock thru it and hopefully make it a little harder to steal, real easy to drill the hole a bit larger.
NG, why not just spring for the locking pin at Harbor Freight for like $10? Serves the same purpose, and you can't cut one with cable cutters.
cuz it's more like 20+$$, and I already had the cable lock.I will probably go that route eventualy. if they want it bad enough they will get it or mess it up. locks only keep honest people honest.
theY ARE $12-16 AT hOME DEPOT AND Walmart, much better than a gun cable lock.
