eventualy I will end up with some sort of red dot or burris fastfire. .
Digging up an old thread here. I am done trying to use the iron sites and the fiber optics I installed in their place are great during the day but at dusk and dawn, useless. I found this solution that works for both angle eject and top eject models. They also have a barrel mounted option that fits in place of the rear sight. Thinking hard about going this route and using the new Fastfire III. Of course I would paint it before mounting it.
Those are very cool scopes. I really do like them a lot
Nice! I am gonna have to get a couple of those.
I'd like to keep the original sights. I just can't seem to line it up even at 50 yards. I can shoot all day using the tru glo sights that my muzzleloader has, but I just can't seem to focus well looking down the iron sights. That's why I want to put a scope on it.
I'm starting to understand when people say wait till you get older. Your eyes are the first to go.
this year I went wally and got some tru glo paint in the craft dept. put a touch on the front sight of my '94 and my pistol-colt python. I think it helped because I dumped a 140lb. hog with one in the neck. :clap
I got a btl of it in orange. once you start you can't stop and end up putting some on everything. pocket knives, turkey calls, gun sites,tv remotes, cell phone etc. just enough so they are easier to find in leaf litter, or on my desk.
