ANYONE EVER HEAR OF OR USE THESE BRANDS FROM DIXIESLUGS.COM, they look and sound awesome on paper. bullets are made from lead/tin and antimony and heat treated for extra hardness and improved penetration. they make a "tri-ball" round of buckshot where the 3 1/2" version shoots 3- 70 caliber balls weighing app 870 grs and delivers a 4 1/2" spread at 40 yds, and can be fired from a rifled barrel or smoothbore. they also make a 3" tri-ball at 60 caliber, as well as single projectile 12 ga sabot slugs and just slugs in sabots for muzzle loading. pictures and testimonies look incredible. unfortunately I just stocked up on the hornady sst's 300 grains sabots.they were origionaly designed for dangerous game, ( like for bear H.B. ).
They have been around a while, and made right here in good ole Florida. I have heard very good reports on their products. Never used them personally.
gonna try and e-mail them directly, supposedly my smithy buddy is a personell friend, maybe a little name dropping and fanny smooching can get me a free box or 2. any idea where in fla they are from?
