I know season is around the corner and people are going to be buying stuff real soon. Please be aware that if you are buying a Summitt climber, please know what you are getting.
I was in Dicks last year when they started selling these. They are an economy version of the Summitt climber.
The store by me has about 200 of these things on the shelf now. This stand is made of steel (which rusts bad) and weighs 26 pounds. The regular Summitt is made of aircraft aluminum(wont rust) and weighs 19 pounds.
Also, all the tubing is tack welded, instead of c-locked, then welded like the regular Summitt is.
I have always been a fan of Summitt. Last year I wrote Summitt and asked them about it. It is in fact an economy version made specifically for Dicks, and is made crappy, IMHO.
If you want a Summitt, don't get this one. The regular one is not much more expensive..
