You'll like shooting that .243, it is a great caliber. Plenty of killing power without too much kick, ammo affordable and easy to find (relatively speaking).
He included bases/rings, but I have to change them. My scope is a 50MM and I need a little more height so the scope frontal doesnt hit the barrel. Gonna have to look around and see what I can find
That's the only thing I need to change about mine is the scope. The one my dad put on it years ago when he first bought the rifle is a good scope, by I prefer one with more eye relief. The one on there now you have to get right up on the rear lens to get a full sight picture. When he bought his .270 and gave me the .243, he got a nice Nikon for the .270 that just comes up so natural.
