got it all hooked up.. parked at my house under a tree has not given me the ability to do a mic check yet. so ill see when im on 75 this wednesday.
Had to run a wire from he body to the plate to get it grounded. Where the mount is mounted is not a ground. So i ran a seperate wire to the plate to ground it.. And NOT SURE IF THIS IS RIGHT but took the little wire off the antenna and ran it to the ground also is that right?
did you test to see if the antenna is tuned? looks like the radio has the SWF meter on it, i showed you how to tune the antenna with that screw on the top :toast
if its built in on the radio, your good. you just gotta put the switch on SWR and see where your tuned at, I BELIEVE the lower the number the better, dont quote me though lol glowworm prolly knows
