bore sighting.

my rifle, if i get the chance i will stretch it out there. took a shot at a coyote about 2 weeks ago out at TC, ranged it at 320. i georgia , i have no shots over two hundred yards. don't have bdc reticle.

they all will get you on paper and some can get you close but none can get you sighted 100% i know there is one that once your sighted the gun where you want it you put it back in (bore sighter) and mark and or write down on a card where it is and then if you ever need to check it or re sight it thats all you need is that key you made for that setup. i think thats the one you are talkin about crock. but in my opinion all they do is save time and ammo by gettin you on paper to start. heck on a bolt gun put it in a solid rest pull out the bolt look out the barrel line it up/ center the center of it on the bull and then adjust your cross hairs to the same place and then start shootin that will also put you on the paper too.

thats how my boss does it. he showed me that a few years back. its pretty cool to see.

That is the best way to do a bolt rifle. Done all mine that way.
I just sighted in the 30-30 yesterday. I set a target at 10 yards and fired a shot to see where I was. I had to make a drastic change on the first adjustment. Then moved to about 20 yards and shot again. Had it shooting the same hole at 50 yards in a total of 5 shots :rockon:
