I remember as a kid, me and my dad always bought and wore well made all leather belts with good rivets and hardware. Matter of fact, dad wore the same belt for over 30 years. Now everything you buy has crappy stitching, the hardware falls apart or gets rusty, the leather rolls on itself. None of them seem to last more than a year or 2 at most, and aren't worth a shit to begin with. All of them are made in China, or one of the _stan's..

My every day belt that I bought from some clown at a gun show swore it would hold up. Now its falling apart and for the life of me I can't find a decent leather belt in town. I've found some on-line, but my God, I refuse to pay $80 for a belt

Is a good ole U.S. of A. made sturdy leather belt a thing of the past??

if your talking of a belt stiff enough to support a pistol and possibly mag pouch, knife, flashlight. in leather made in USA it's gonna need some kind of sewn in the middle/sandwiched support, with any kind of quality I'm afraid, yes it probably will run 80+$'s. if you can live with nylon the wilderness brand gun belts are nice, but still close to 80$ and am not sure where they are made (oregon maybe). if you just wanna hold your pants up the cabellas ranger belts work ok but will soften and roll after a few years depending on how much you try to hang on them, but are 20-40$ and doubt very much they are made in usa. one of the best USA made product lines I've found for hunting clothes boots, belts, suspenders, coats etc is CC Filson in Seatle they are big bucks, but the best quality I've found anywhere.

I have a few heavy leather USA made belts which I bought from western clothes stores over the years. They last and are strong. I haven't bought one of those in 10-15 years and think I paid over $45 for everyone of them then, probably $70-100 now. I have one which is nearly 20 years old and is one of my favorites...
