Looking for shotguns in need of restoration or repair. Any guage, any condition. Most of my experience is with Mossberg pumps, but will consider all others.
I am not interested in doing it right now, but I have an old model 97 winchester and mossberg 20ga (both belonged to my great grandfather). They are not in horrible condition, but need a decent restoration at some point in time. What does something like that usually cost? I will get some pics up this weekend
I probably was not clear enough. I am an amateur at restoration and repair and do it for myself. I wouldn't attempt to restore an heirloom for myself no less for someone else. My idea of repair is to fix what’s broke and make it useable. And my idea of restoration is to take what’s ugly and make it acceptable (not beautiful). Sorry but I don’t have any idea of the cost of true restoration. Generally though, I would hesitate touching an old gun. Refinishing usually ruins the value of old guns.
