Hey guys! I'm looking for a slug barrel for my mossberg 500 12gauge. I'm assuming that firing slugs through the 28" accuchoke barrel is not good for it.

you CAN fire rifled slugs, (the ones with the rifling on the slugs themselves) through a smoothbore, with improved cylinder, nothing tighter than a mod choke (imo). a rifled bbl is just as it sounds, rifling is inside the bbl and generaly slugs in a sabot are recomended and give better accuracy and distance but cost a lot more.gotta know what choke is in the gun. trying to shoot a slug thru a tight turkey choke could BE BAD.

Just ordered one for my moss 20. $170.00 and change.
I can hardly wait to dial that thing in. I stuck with rifle sites.
