I like mine too. Shoots very well. What series is yours FLDXT? Mine is a 195xxxx.
Different series tend to shoot somewhat differently with the Mini's, and some stuff is incompatible with certain series, from what I understand. I haven't been into them that long though.
There is an almost cult-like following for the mini-14, I dunno if you've been on the forum or not but http://www.perfectunion.com/vb/forumdisplay.php?f=86 is the link. They have a bunch of tricks for accurizing the mini's, or for installing buffers and bushings to reduce recoil to prevent the mini from crushing so many scopes. I like to have little "projects" to work on, and most of the modifications are totally reversible in the event that you want to sell it as original.
