hate to knock another mans gun, but for me, and this is strictly personal preference the 22-250 outshines the 223 all to hell and the ruger platform is allot less accurate than the AR. I personally prefer the AK's larger diam/heavier/harder hitting bullet and more reliable action. and if I wanted a black rifle for extended distances would go for the 308, first cuz it's a nato round and will be more avail if tshtf, next would be the 6.8. but there is nothing wrong with the ruger it is time proven.

Lol, The original post was on topic, then everybody needed to tell me what an idiot I am for having personal preference and not being able to consistently shoot a group the size of a gnats :ahole at a moving target after 200 yards of sprinting and having the wind knocked out of me cause I tripped on a cypress knee.

agreed, I would not consider the ruger or AK a 300 meter gun but the AR I would. also the 243 and 25-06 also blow the 223 outa the water.we got our 1st warning, guess we oughta move it to the armory if you guys wanna continue.and nobody called you an idiot, thought that went without saying lol.
