how about trying what's supposed to be on a short light carbine for shots under 50 yd's. open sights, I have a couple sets of millet adjustable orange front/white outline rear for 25$, if the gun has a dovetail in it they slide right in. just need to look up and see what heights it calls for. never have to worry about lenses getting banged/dirty/scratched or foggy.
No experience with the new Nikon's. Nacho is correct too. I have one with Millet sights that I wouldn't put Glass on....
I do not want anything fancy or pricey. I just need something to put on top of my 44 mag carbine. The scope on it is trashed, and I need to replace it ASAP.
i got one call me.
how much are you looking to spend? , Nikon pro staff new on e-bay 4x9 ,, $149.00

That's a matter or YOUR needs, wants & likes. Not what is supposed to be on there. This gun has had a scope on it since it was bought new in the 60's, and I am keeping it that way. The old Tasco on it is just wore out. Crosshairs won't move when I try to adjust it
