I do not want anything fancy or pricey. I just need something to put on top of my 44 mag carbine. The scope on it is trashed, and I need to replace it ASAP.
Check out Sportsmans Guide....Pentax Gameseeker 4X12 40 mm with BDC reticle....its only about 60-70 bucks and a pretty good scope for the money....neighbor has one...I used it, then I got one.....not bad for the money.
I would recommend one of the new Redfield's (made by Leupold) in 1.5X, 2X, or 4X for your carbine. They have good pricing starting around $150.00. I have a 4X Burris on my 44 mag carbine and that's all you need for a 50-75 yard gun... The Leupolds and Burris (low power) scopes start around $300 and go up from there....
