Ebay is pretty good at informing you about what an item sells for on average. They have a tool that lets you enter the item you are selling and it gives you a low and high range of what that item recently sold for. I always start my auctions at .99 and the selling price usually ends up being somewhere in between that average.
For example, I sold a Winchester 94 Front Hood sight. The average selling price was from $15-35. Mine sold for $30 and I started the price at .99.
Sorry for the derail, but hopefully you get what you want on Ebay.
