Kemster, what have you noticed at your shop since the election? people panicking down in the hood yet?
I went in walmart a bit ago to pick up a couple things. Went and made my usual pass thru the sporting goods dept. The ammo case was pretty well stocked with just about every caliber. I looked at the gun case and both were bare bones. All the brands of AR's they had were gone. I saw the guy who has worked there forever...I pointed at the gun case and asked what happened..His quote was.."you wouldn't believe it since last Tuesday..."

Elections were last Tuesday and I was in there this past Friday. Prices I mentioned were what I saw then.
nacho, crowders is always high on price. Ft huffstetler is descent on prices.
initialy I thought ft huffstetler was way to high but recently they have seemed to come down A LITTLE on gun prices and I've been giving them some sales on small stuff I didn't want to mail away for and leave a paper trail for the wife to see. when it comes to how much I spend on guns/scopes/re-loading supplies and general do-dads, it's best to treat her like a mushroom. keep her in the dark and feed her BS. In 10 yrs I still haven't seen a gun I would be willing to pay their asking price for at either place. dow firearms south of rt 50 on 301 between ridge manor and dade city is pretty good, nice people, decent gunsmithing and the last place I bought a gun (used) retail, a marlin 1973 35 rem lever in app 85% for 350$ and they thru in 2 boxes of ammo, scope base/mount/rings and #300 primers.
