the new to me 35 is a keeper, it's bona fide! 2, 3- shot groups at 25 yds with 1 type of handload I got 3/8" and 2/8" with the stock open sights. drifted the rear sight a little to the right. at 50 yds 1 1/2" and 2 1/4" and I'm good with that cuz I can barely make out the stock sights at 50 yd's. if I put in an orange or fiber optic front and open up the rear notch I could see them much better, but since I now have 2 35 cal's one is gonna get a scope.

Glad to hear it. Hopefully that is the one you use to blast that ghost hog of yours.
one of these days/years he will slip up and I'll be wating. haven't been out there since may. just getting to the point where I can walk to the 100 yd range and back and could probably make it to my stand but hauling that fattie out would destroy my knee again. sucks getting old, or just being stupid (in my case), if I had just stopped and taken care of it with the first injury it would have healed in no time. and at +150 yards and likely at night/dawn or dusk I'm thinking the 25-06 with 3x10x50 leupold for light gathering and range. if I could go into the waist deep or better swamp and palmettos in the day time I'm sure he'd be there, but he aint worth dying for. if I were under 30 or maybe 40 y/o I'd be there.
