That's a good deal and a great walk about/stalking gun.... Hogs and Deer hate a .35 Rem, as do Bears. The .35 Rem is probably the most popular Bear and Deer gun in PA.
I called about it and heard those 3 scary words, "I'm a gunsmith" and made the trigger pull heavier cuz it was too light? when was the last time you heard someone complain a trigger pull was too light? and the reciever top has been drilled and tapped (?) for a scope. they didn't do that at the factory back then. not sure it's worth the drive to see what Bubba did. those sc 1/2 mag tubes sure look nice though. tough choice.
I got him down to 250$ + a real nice sling. it's a 1952 mdl and has seen plenty of the outdoors in Minnesota. if it could only tell stories. I should re-blue it but after a good cleaning it's ready to test fire.
Dave, if you ever decide to get rid of that rifle, I call 1st dibs.........as a finder fee....
