Im not trying to start anything or hijack a thread but why would anyone want to start a kid off hunting in a pen? I think if they start off that way thats what they are going to expect out of hunting in the future and when it doesnt turn out that way they will get frustrated and quit. I am all for trying to put them in places where they will see game but I also want them to learn how to hunt and not just kill.

Depends on the age of the kid I say. Youngsters often get bored with hunting, if you explain to them that hunting high fence is hunting just different Im all for it.

I have never been there but a friend of mine owns a piece in there and said they were starting to patrol the area more to keep the rif-raf down and the drinking, therefore alot of the "drunks and outlaws" were selling out and moving to Holipaw..This is just what I have heard..I also heard the hunting was better on the north end for deer..
