You know all this talk about bears, I have lived in FL all my life and hunted the majority of it and have yet to see a damn bear in the wild. My buddies saw a sow and some cubs when we hunted over by Clewiston one year but that is it. Maybe one day I will be fortunate and see one of these guys.

I had a black bear walk right up to my stand in San Pedro Bay about ten years ago. He stood straight up looked at me and hauled butt. My buddy lives next to Ocala NF and sees them all the time.

Opening day of bow last season, I had a bear in the back of my truck. He had already drug off a bag of corn and was in my cooler when I walked out and yelled him. Then he decided he didn't want to leave

They are definitely cool animals to see in the wild. I enjoyed seeing them, just a PIA hunting around them. In the 5 years I was in a lease in bear country, I managed to see about 20. Had thousands of trail cam pics. Definitely one of the more beautiful animals nature has to offer. They have a nose better than any combined pack of hounds. Very intelligent animals, to say the least

On there own they are very shy and extremely injtelligent. As soon as you throw corn in the mix their constant appetite makes them dumber than a bag of hammers. A bear is just an extremely large coon IMO.

Just talked to the lease holder again and he's still looking for a couple more guys. Guess we'll have a total of 17 on 3000 acres if we get a couple more. One thing with this piece is no one uses corn, only soybean and protein pellets.
