Jeff, nothing will ever be like the Hog Pen in it's glory days!
Living waaaay in the south end of the state it's difficult to find a lease within a reasonable distance from home. To get to reasonable priced lease required 4+ hours of driving each way. Ones I did find closer were very expensive.
I would liked to have joined a lease as I know nothing about hunting except what I could find on the internet and being around other experienced hunters would have a lot of benefit as far as learning about hunting. Now, being on my own property for almost a year I've learned a little bit and have found a little success. I'm willing to try silly things without having others laugh at my ideas or discuraging me. I can do what I want, how I want and where I want at any time.
One thing I've come to realize is that most hunters down here in the south end of the state don't have the time to hunt very much so when they go hunting they want to maximize their time. Having a guy come so they can learn is not someething they want to deal with in most cases. I don't blame them as I guess I may feel same if I was in their shoe.
DAVE - CHECk your PM. We'll make sure Foley knows what's going on....
