I had a 2002 F150 4x4 with the same 5.4L V8. I averaged 14mpg 50%/50% city/highway. It felt pretty gutless at only 260 hp though.
In 2004 the 5.4L got a bump to 300hp i think. Prior to that they were pretty weak for a V8 of that size.

sounds like a good choice i am now looking at a 2003 4x4 supercab it has 116000 miles and the engine looks very clean no rust, chrome running boards and bumpers here's a picture 
what do you all think?

WHAT added 100 hp and 16 mpg? how much you pay for a bully dog system?
