Ok,
Here is my question. I was born and raised in Florida. The public land that I live near is the J.W. Corbitt area. Everyone knows that it is too crowded there and I would never take my boys there. Last year a hunter got shot walking down a pathway. Not to mention other altercations there. Opening weekend of turkey season had 900 hunters throuth the gate. 63,000 acers. Seems like alot, but every road or parking spot has a truck on it. Can not afford thousands of dollars for a hunt lease. Maybe $500. Want to pass on this great sport. Does anyone have any suggestions where I could take my two boys hunting fairly close to Palm Beach County? Maybe 2 or 3 hrs away. We have just got into archery and are going to our first archery shoot on Aug. 14th. for charity. (R.C.Mattson Archery Shoot)
New to this site.
Thanks for your suggestions.

Not sure when the quota hunt applications start? Did the STA thing last season that was cool. Last year I won the hunt of a life time and Danny sent my son and I to Texas. Was lots of fun. Hope to win it again. Trying to find a private land owner the will let us hog hunt with our bows. Will check out the FWC site again.
Thanks Mark.....
Yes Danny is a good ole boy. Go to youtube.com search "Kevins first hog" we took that at Okeechobee outfitters. I turkey hunted next to Starvation Slough will check it out thanks.

There's a lot of clubs needing members in North Fl,usually around 1000.00. I know we're short members and so are the clubs surrounding ours. Lots of game up our way, especially wild boars.
Check out Three Lakes off of the turnpike. That's only 2 hours from you. There are also some other WMAs over toward Bervard county, as well as another in Seminole county - Lake Monroe.
