I love the S&M M&P
beyond that. the "sub compact" version of it is what i got.. sometimes i forget its on me.. lol
I would lean towards a revolver for in the woods, less things to go wrong.
when the military and leo's go back to revolvers,,,, so will i. :cheers :toast

I like revolvers also.. its rare that you would ever have to use it anyway.
I like a good revolver as well, and they generaly can handle a more powerfull cartridge, but at close range ( and I'm talking 1 yd to 10 yds ) the only distance I'd realy be usinng the handgun, the cocking of the hammer can be heard loud and clear. and an auto holds more rounds, is flatter and more comfortable to carry.yes some people hunt and take game to 100 yds and more with a handgun. but I'm talking about a backup gun, a secondary use gun when the primary is scoped. the rifle or shotgun is still the primary weapon. the pistol is nice to have when it's too dark to see thru the scope, and would be only used for self defense not hunting, when walking in early and late or if loaded with snake shot
