2 words.. NINTENDO 3DS.

Me and my son love going out.. Hes 8 and we laugh so hard sometimes i say "why in the hell are we even here,, nothings gonna walk in with us laughing like this".. But hogs allways come in and deer!..

When my son was younger i would give him a nintendo ds and head phones. Trust me the head phones are key. You need to keep them busy.. and for when they get tired.. bring a chair that is comfy that they can sleep in and a blanket. Food and drink.. Go pee pee and poop before you leave.. and youll be ok!!

All very good things posted above. The main thing is saftey and then fun. I agree with the unloaded bb gun thats how we started our kids. Show them the neat things in the woods you'll be suprised how quick they learn, and when they start seeing the critters before you do you'll be like heck ya. Good luck and get them out there.

Dove hunts are great. My father is a hard core liberal anti hunter back in california, so I never got to experience hunting until I moved here with my football coach who I call dad, but I have seen a lot of the youngins.
1. Ipod or gameboy with head phones( tbh sometimes after 4-5 days of hunting hard I even break them out and put a book on with the Ipod in one ear.)
