went out this am. Had a bobcat walk under me right at sunrise then about 45 mins later, two does walked on by feeding, once again, outta range :no gonna give my spot a rest though till probably thursday. :toast
let me know when and where you guys are gonna be hunting and drinking. with one little phone call i can make a grand. thanks FWC! 😆
Out all morning, and nothing to show but a few skeeter bites. I went in to the stand extra early (5am), and wouldn't ya know it, but those damned doe were already at my stand. Had to stand there 50 yards away listenin to em blow for 10 mins before they wandered off. Got up in the stand and situated 20 mins later. After 2 hours of sittin still and enjoying the wonderful Thermacell fragrance, I had a nice doe come out and proceed to wander around the stand for about 40 mins. Of course, she wouldn't stop in any of my shootin lanes. Seems like she knew she was safer standin behind the palms and scrub. Going back out tonight, either there or the WMA.
Well, went to Tiger Bay last night. Thanks to horsefly, I went to an area that was smack covered up in tracks. Ended up in a mutual surprise situation with 3 does. They saw me as soon as I saw them, but I was stuck in the wide open. Oh well, I got a good look around and found a tree I can hang my climber on next time.
