drinking when hogging? you gotta be kidding. imo that must be about as dangerous as it gets sober, between the tusks and cutting yourself with the knife. go drink a 12 pack and several shots of my tonic and go have a long run with a pair of real sharp scissors and get it outta you're system.
If it's not for you, that's fine. Doesn't mean it's wrong. I'm not going to hurt anyone but myself while doing it, therefore I don't feel bad. We all take calculated risks and have individual limitations. I draw the line at the possibility of injuring someone else.
I'd love to try your tonic, though I will pass on the long run with the scissors. Running with scissors became boring in first or second grade, had to move on to more exciting things to get the heart pumping. :tung
Now don't get me wrong, I don't get wasted while running the dogs. I definitely don't incapacitate myself to the point of not being able to get to a bay to help the dogs out. Besides, my hangovers are too brutal to be getting tanked very often. Wrecks the whole next day.

Experience has shown me that 2 drinks is just about the right amount of liquid courage to go grab a hog by his legs and try and flip him over while dogs yank on both sides of his head. :clown
Things do happen fast while hog dogging, but only one person is using a knife, and either they have already flipped the hog and are kneeling on top of it, or one person is holding the legs while the other sticks it. It's not a sword fight, :tung .
Where can I get a halo? Do they sell those at BPS? Doesn't the glow scare off game?
