Kempster99, I know the rules very well, and under stand most WMA's allow the harvest of any deer during archery except spotted fawns. Glad you concede. I am gonna get a lot of laughs out of your guys contest this year if guys keep begging for points for a nub on a bucks head that has no rack. Valiant effort. John L, has got the blood flowing through my veins a little quicker. I was not gonna hunt till OCT. 15th Now I have a chance to go Sat. on the PUA, and I am pumped. Except for the fact I will be in a canoe dodging airboats. It is a deadly propisition considering very few airboaters are curtious to other boaters in there marsh.
Best of luck, and 1 last thing. 5 points!
good luck. this saturday. i was just doing my duties as team captain. lol trying to get everything we could. lol
Team captains need to get together and take a vote for how many points it is worth - 5 or 7? This is the reason for the designation of team captains. Lets not get all flustered over this, I don't think 2 pts either way will make a difference for JohnL team, they are some killing fools! This is supposed to be a fun contest so lets not get all ramped up over this!
You got this part right when you're firing up yearlings. I'm all for killing bucks-only but this isn't what I was talking about lol!
If they count this deer as a doe on the WMA (which I know it was, my brother shot one on accident years ago) then it should only be counted here as a doe. That isn't a legal buck in Fl(not 5 inches of hard antler) and shouln't be counted as one.

Point made.
I agree it should be counted as antlerless. 5" of bone = legal buck deer in Fl. But my rules say you don't eat antlers, that will be a fine eating deer. Not everybody has the same guidlines for harvesting legal game. As far as I'm considered if your not breaking the law your ok. John has a wonderful sense of humor as I do,and I see absolutely no reason for turning this into something that it is not. Shooting any deer with a bow is a noble thing in my book.
i thought this was dead. we'll take the 5 points. cool??? was just trying to stick up for my teammate, like i am supossed to do.
