guys i got a little problem, for the contest and i know we are in the lead i want to add my doe taken nov 14 to our score .i have pics on my phone but no sign but i do have the harvest tag from oklahoma.what should i do? i cant figure out how to post a pic from my phone grrr
Boy that sure is a nice 8. Long G2's. Lease or WMA?
Lease- Camp Misery in Taylor County. I think we ended the yr with 15 bucks in front of dogs and killed the most of all the crews in the club. It was still a disappointing year (for all the surrounding clubs too) and we really had to work hard for them.
It's bittersweet now that it's over. I have been burnt out on deer hunting for awhile but I know I'll be missing it soon. It's time to shoot some tree rats and have some puppies though.
Depending on how many trucks and fellas (and gals!) you have in your group that is a very respectful total for the year. I know a bunch in the Ocala NF that get around 12 or so a year. Nothing like that one though. Betcha didn't have to look hard for them horns coming through the trees. I'm headed out for some tree rats myself. That itself can be a good scouting tool.

The second guy who shot at him said "you don't have to look to see the horns on him, just shoot him when he hits the road" lol he wasn't kidding. That's our biggest one for the year by far.
15 bucks total isn't bad but in an area where 4-5 years ago the avg crew's total was 25 and the better crews killed 30-40, it's not great either.
When I used to run dogs, it seems like we always killed our biggest buck of the year on the last weekend or even the last day.
The last year I was in Lafayette, we hunted a particular buck the whole year. We ran the same block just about every day. We knew he had not been killed and had been seen from the summer all thru the season.
We killed him on the last race of the year, on Sunday afternoon...at 4PM
