I'm not planning on using a spotlight to blind/freeze them. just some subtle lighting from a coleman lantern around the feeder. like a romantic dinner except the patrons get a head shot instad of desert. I thought maybe if hogs were a nuissance like coyotes artificial lighting might be ok. a couple of candles would probly do the trick. it was bright enough out in the fields but in the swampy canopy it's a little darker. something did dig up corn from my posthole but it looks too neat to be a hog I'm guessin a coon. was there this eve from 5-8:30. can hear them getting closer just waiting for me to leave.

This thread is quiet...TOO quiet
Yall better be out there scouting !

Negative, I havent been to the woods in a couple months. Cant really scout cuz its closed but I already got my spot. Should be a couple 6 pters this year, maybe even an 8pt. Saw some big rubs towards the end of last year but the rain had flooded the trail so I didnt keep hunting it. When are you gonna start hunting?

Legal Shooting hours:

Resident game birds and game mammals may be hunted between one-half hour before sunrise and one-half hour after sunset. However, shooting hours during spring turkey season are one-half hour before sunrise to sunset on private lands. On wildlife management areas, shooting hours during spring turkey season are one-half hour before sunrise to 1 p.m.

Not a bird or a game mammal. I own them hogs the second they step foot on that property. :clap
