Folks, I have a question.

I will be hunting a WMA that has no check station nor am I required to report my harvested game. I have a quote permit and I will be camping on the site.
In the rules for this WMA it states "The head and evidence of sex may not be be removed from the carcass of any deer on the area.
So if i kill a deer, and field dress it at camp (still on the wma) how do I go about removing the "sex" organs, or leaving them intact on the carcass? what do I need to leave attatched??? ? What about quartering the animal on site? or do i have to wait till I get home to do that????
I figured once I was back at camp I could deal with the quartering, and processing the meat so it can be stored long-term?
How would I go about cooling and storing my meat while adhearing to the law, of not removing the sex evidence of the deer?
So I leave it attached to the Skin? Bag it seperatly with the meat and get rid of it when i get home? take the deer home and come back?

Thanks for any advise.
And yes I sent an email to the FWC just waiting on a reply now. And wanted to get your point on this matter.

Thanks
G

Im pretty sure you would be ok if theres no check station or anything. I hunt Lochloosa WMA up here in Gainesville and there isnt a check station and it says the same thing in the brochure. Im just gonna drop the guts out of a deer in the field then clean it and quarter it back in Gainesville

check on the fwc site and do a search under askfwc and you might find it has already been asked. Good luck
