That's a good idea Crock... Never thought of that... We always stayed away from the trees only cause we can't drill in 'em... But that's an ingenious way of avoiding drilling the trees.
I see that... Looks like it holds really well also... I just think i'm might do that... I knew I was asking the right question lol.
@nacho - I'm not sure exactly how that would work... Do you use that a lot? If you drill the holes in the bottom like that won't the corn just keep falling? Do you have a photo of it?
I gave it to crock, but it's just a 45 degree elbow then a 1 foot section with a 50 cent lid that fits the inside diameter of the pvc glued in place, then a pvc rounded end cap with 4-5 marbles in it. if you drill a small enough hole the whole corn won't come out unless bumped, however many holes and the size is up to you. I doubt it would be bear proof though.it's just like the other one pictured except with an angle at the end, and it rattles when used.
