Looking for some cheap and easy alternatives to buying brand new feeders... I saw somewhere here an idea for a hanging pvc feeder I believe. Just need some different ideas this season so I have something to work on while I'm not at the club.
Here is how I make them
If you have hogs, you want to mount it where the bottom is 40" off the ground or the hogs will empty it in a short time
That is 4" thin wall PVC, a slip on cap, and a french drain grate on the bottom of it. Get a 10' piece and you can cut it in half and make 2 feeders.
Holds about 40# of corn
Awesome thanks.
use any pine tree and get it as high as you want.
a repeat of an idea someone else posted. if you make a 45 degree angle on the bottom end of the pvc feeder with a false bottom with marbles in it , it will make noise when they use/bump it and wake you up and attract other deer and they will think there is always food in it. to get the corn to drop just drill whatever size holes you want in the angled section of the pvc to control the amount of corn delivered.
