So there are a few general gun permits left for where I would like to hunt. I missed my completion course for my license like I was afraid would happen, but I rescheduled for the 22nd. My question is on the FWC website it says a WMA permit is required to apply, nothing about a hunting license at that time. Is this the case? Also it is a first come first serve, where do you go to get these? Sorry for the newb questions this is my first year hunting in FL
Hunting license is required to apply for the WMA quota permits chief!

Management Area Permit only $26.50 , you don't need a hunting license
Requirements: Unless exempt, you must have a valid Management Area Permit in order to apply. Children age 15 that will turn 16 before or during the hunts should purchase a Management Area Permit and apply as a non-exempt hunter

Like already said, Management area stamp is the only thing you need to apply.
See the Pissed Off Thread that Terrible Ted started about Phase 3 permits for instructions on printing your permit.... LoL! J/K.
Yes it's first come first serve. You have to be quick. I've never gotten one before because the minute 10 AM comes around, the website seems to freeze up from all the traffic.
Thanks guys, I'll give it a shot
