Got the feeder up and stand up.. Pain in the butt on the feeder setup. Its just heavy as heck when you got it all bolted up and trying to get it up the tree on a tall ladder.. I just used a big pine and wrapped it in PT 2x4 with big threaded rod and nuts. Basically i sandwiched the tree between the 2x4s cause you cant drill into planted pines. Also easy to remove if i ever have to.

the bottom of the feeder motor in the picture is 13 feet off the ground. When i put my 50 gal drum the feeder motor will be 10 foot off the ground. I gotta put some barbwire on the tree to stop bears from climbing it but otherwise its pretty stable. Im going to put the winch and bigger drum on it next week. For now this should attract some game.

Seriously though...Obviously I can't see whats around there, but you should try to find a tree with more cover. You are going to be silhouetted bad. At least get a roof kit and hang burlap down from it so you have an enclosure, if there is no where else to move it to

Just a thought :toast
