Hello all,

gonna go visit my bro during the thanksgiving week holiday. He lives in Conroe Tx, just north east of houston. We want to do some hunting together but he hasnt been hunting yet in his life, and I dont know the area very well. He has a friend who may have a lease, but that is 5 hours away. As a backup plan we are thinking of a WMA near houston. At the very least we may consider some small game hunting of squirrel or rabbits, and maybe a hog, but like i said I dont know the area, and he hasnt hunted before. A 5 day non-resident license for me is only 48 bucks plus 48 for the WMA license, so its very doable as far as cost goes.

If anyone has any info they can share about hunting in texas I would be very grateful.

Thanks
G

Try Texas DNR if you do not mind hunting public land and do not want to spend a lot of money.

don't forget to "google earth". Have a great time. Doing it together makes it a great day regardless.

Stand along the border long enough and you can shoot stuff all day long!

I am sure my M1 Garand and M1 Carbine are up to the task!!!
