Never seen a crap apple tree before. What kind of woods are around where you found it? Are those leaves smooth on the edge, or are there small points?

Honestly can't tell you about the leaves, I snapped the pic and got out of there cause I was sweating to death, and didn't want to handle it and put scent on it

I will tell you about the terrain. It is planted pines like most of the lease is. However this is a much higher ridge that runs thru here. There is a little creek(dry right now) that is 90% live oaks and they are loaded. Also more of a dry/arid terrain. A few scattered black jack oaks/turkey oaks. Lots of cactuses growing too. Also a TON of fox grapes and muscadines all thru this little ridge. Also where I found the maypops growing

Check out this little funnel/pinch point. This is almost an unfair setup :rolleyes :archer :archer

Persimmons don't grow in clusters like that and the leaflets aren't the right shape.
