won't forget that smell.
won't forget that smell.
That smell and that yellowish-tan fine grain sand came back with every load of broke avionics equipment and every plane sent back for repair. Didn't have to spend time in-country to know how nasty it was over there. Our AC-130s, Combat Talons and MH-53s wreaked of it.
P'duck, thanks for all you're doing for the good guys. If there's anything more we can do to help support your organization, please let us know.
I am a Purple Heart recipient myself and that is how I became affiliated with this organization. Operation Bows and Heroes was started by Tink Nathan who is the originator of Tink's 69 scents, we met after my injury and then became good friends. Having looked at life as being over, I know what it means to get back out in the woods. Having worked with the group has been rewarding to say the least as I get to go help people like myself get back out and heal through our love of archery. Having taken people hunting in several states or just shooting is so rewarding I can't express it.
Those with a Purple Heart who are interested PM me, I would love to take all veterans on the trip however I simply can't. I do have ground in Southern Illinois that I can take people hunting on and a lease in Pike County, Illinois, maybe I can work out something there.
I salute those who paid the ultimate sacrafice for us as well those who serve and support those who serve.
Pike co. is some of the best deer hunting in the country.
